  1. Accountability - McTavish Travel has established policies within our office to comply with the TEN PRIVACY PRINCIPLES. Our Privacy Officer is responsible for the Privacy Policy and is accountable for the company's compliance with the TEN PRIVACY PRINCIPLES. McTavish Travel will protect all personal information held by McTavish Travel.
  2. Identifying Purposes – The purposes for which the information is being collected will be identified at the time that the information is being collected. McTavish Travel collects and retains the information that enables us to provide you with a personalized experience, ensure that your travel arrangements meet your requirements and allows us to deliver your travel documents to you. If you prefer that we do not store this information, you may provide it at each time of booking. Further, we keep you up to date by mail, fax and email with new developments and offerings in the travel industry. You may choose not to receive this information and have your name deleted from our mailing lists.
  3. Consent - The knowledge and consent of the customer are required for the collection, use or disclosure of information except where required or permitted by law.
  4. Limiting Collection - We will limit the information we collect to what we need in order to deliver services and information to you and we will use it only for those purposes.
  5. Limiting Use, Disclosure and Retention – We do not use or disclose your personal information for any purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with your consent or as required by law. McTavish Travel does not sell or make available customer lists to third parties. Your information is only retained as long as necessary for the fulfillment of those purposes. McTavish Travel does not keep your personal information if it is no longer needed for the purposes required or as required by law.

    The travel data that we store may include: name, address, email address, credit card number, travel destinations, travel schedules, seating preferences, smoking or non-smoking accommodations, meal preferences and reservation information as well as passport details and next of kin information. This information is kept on file as a reference document and consulted each time a reservation is made. When a reservation is made, a passenger name record (PNR) is created which contains all of the information needed to fulfill the travel request of the traveler.

    This data may also be transferred to third party travel suppliers, travel service providers and computer reservation systems for the purposes of making reservations requested and providing 24/7 emergency services.
  6. Accuracy - Your personal information is kept as accurate, complete and up-to-date as is necessary for the purpose for which it is to be used.
  7. Safeguarding Customer information – McTavish Travel will protect your personal information by using safeguards that are appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. McTavish Travel employees receive training on our policies and procedures for protecting personal information. McTavish Travel has instituted security policies for maintaining, deleting, destroying and disposing of personal information when it is no longer required.
  8. Openness - We will make our complete policies and practices relating to the management of your personal information readily available to you.
  9. Customer Access – Upon request in writing, you will be informed of the existence, use, and disclosure of your personal information and you will be given access to that information. We will assist any customer who informs us that they need assistance in preparing a request concerning personal information. You may challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information and have it amended as appropriate.
