St. LuciaWestJet takes off for St. Lucia

WestJet will launch new seasonal non-stop service from Toronto to St. Lucia beginning 16DEC07. The airline’s enhanced winter schedule also includes new non-stop flights from Hamilton to Nassau, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and Tampa. “St. Lucia represents the fifth international country for scheduled service,” says Chris Avery, WestJet vice-president, network and revenue management. “These announcements are part of WestJet’s measured expansion plans to fly to over 60 destinations by 2013. Our fleet of 68 Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft is perfectly suited for these destinations, providing live seatback TV and pay-per-view movies at every seat.” WestJet also recently announced the addition of six other new hot spots -- Montego Bay (Jamaica), Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic) and Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), Mazatlan (Mexico), Cabo San Lucas (Mexico) and Kona (Hawaii).

Club Med Punta Cana

With new additions designed to cater to babies, teens and adults, Club Med Punta Cana re-opened yesterday Friday (Oct. 5) after several weeks of renovations.

Club MedThe work included the creation of a new Baby Club Med, which provides facilities and programs designed for guests from four to 23 months, with a ratio of one staff member for every four children. A new Club Med Spa has also been added, offering a variety of relaxing procedures, from oceanfront massages to exotic facials, wraps and treatments.

Dreams continue with Disney

Disney Parks has announced that due to popular demand, it is extending its “The Year of a Million Dreams” celebration at its Disneyland Resort in California and its Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida through Dec. 31, 2008. The 2008 Disney Dreams Giveaway features an additional one million dreams -- some never before seen -- to be randomly awarded to guests in 2008 at both resorts. Clients’ favourite dreams of 2007 such as Dream FASTPASS badges, Cinderella Castle Suite stays and in-park shopping sprees will continue to be granted during this magical celebration. New dreams added for the 2008 celebration include a day on Disney’s Private Island, a stay in the brand new guest suite inside Disneyland Park, a chance to celebrate New Year’s Eve inside Cinderella Castle and more.
