The cruise line says that by getting teens involved in the program development process, it will be able to provide a “dynamic, organic and authentic” vacation experience that’s been created by teens for other teenagers. The Teen Advisory Board was recently on hand in New York to introduce its recommendations that have already been implemented aboard Royal Caribbean’s new Liberty of the Seas. Those enhancements are now being rolled out fleet-wide. New teen icebreakers will include musical instruments onboard for jam sessions and two themed entertainment experiences. |
Throughout the cruise, teens can stay informed of special activities, network with other teens, and arrange their own get-togethers through relevant communication channels. Teen-only dining in the Windjammer Café will give young travellers a chance to make new friends and share a dining experience with their peers. Noting that the teen advisory has helped the cruise line to “better cater to the interests and preferences of youths ages 12 to 17”, Alice Norsworthy, senior vice-president, marketing, Royal Caribbean International, observed that, “Teens are more travel-savvy than their parents were at their age, and they actively participate in the planning of the family vacation.” For more information on RCI cruises . . . give us a call |
